Daxera configures and supervises AI operations for small businesses. To do that work it uses some of the business’s own information. This page explains what we use and why.
What we use
We use information you enter, upload or deliberately connect so Daxera can provide the feature you asked for.
- Pilot requests. We use the contact and business information you submit to assess fit and respond. Submitting a request does not create a client account.
- Email. We read messages that arrive so your team can prepare answers, and send only where the product’s permission and approval rules allow. We do not ask to delete mail or change mail settings.
- Calendar. We read availability and create or move events where you permit it. We do not ask to delete calendars.
- Accounting. We read invoices and payments to organise what is outstanding. We do not ask to move money, issue credits, touch payroll or file tax returns.
- Documents. We use documents for the work you request and do not ask for permission to delete files.
What we never do
- We do not train AI models on your data. Your information is used to do your work.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We keep accounts separate. One account cannot use Daxera to see another account’s information.
- We do not ask a Dax to hold your password. Credentials for supported connections use the connection flow and are encrypted.
How artificial intelligence is used
Parts of your request and the relevant records may be sent to a model provider to produce an answer or draft. Daxera currently supports providers including Anthropic and may use another configured provider or your own provider account. We use provider services under terms that do not permit training on your content. Calculations, permissions, account separation and safety limits are handled by ordinary software rather than left to the model.
Messages prepared for somebody outside your business follow the approval and AI-disclosure controls shown in the product.
Sharing and access
We disclose information only to service providers needed to run Daxera, to a person you choose to share it with, or where the law requires it. Access inside a shared account follows the permissions shown in Daxera; sensitive personal areas default to restricted access.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Data is stored in the United Kingdom. We keep account information while your account is open. Permanent account deletion removes account data, except where we must retain a limited record by law. Temporary tester accounts are removed after the period stated in the tester guide; tester feedback is kept separately for the period stated there.
Your choices
You can see, correct, export or permanently delete your account data, remove somebody’s access, and disconnect supported outside systems. For another privacy request, write to privacy@daxera.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
If something goes wrong
We will tell affected people what happened, what was affected and what we are doing about it as soon as we reasonably can.
